The attack that took place on September 18, 2016, on the Army Base of Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir is said to be the most fierce attack of the decade. In the attack, near Pakistan LOC our soldiers killed many attackers who were involved in the attack but unfortunately had to lose our own soldiers as well.
After the death of Burhan Wani (a terrorist from Hizb-ul-Mujahideen who got killed in an encounter with the armed forces on July 8 in Kashmir Ghati), a voilent protest continued in the whole region. In this protest, more than 80 people lost their lives and around 10,000 people got injured.
The attack was so severe that even Home Minister Rajnath Singh had to postpone his Russia and America tour. Singh showed his concern and tweeted on this issue later. In his tweet, he said-” I have discussed this attack on Uri with the Governor and the Chief Minister of the state. He provided me awareness on the issue of state’s security.”
The Uri Attack is considered as the most fierce and destructive one in last 2 decades. Before this, in early January in the same year, terrorists attacked Pathankot Airforce Base in Punjab. In this attack also, many soldiers lost their lives.
It was clear from the beginning, that the uri attack, that included attacking on 12 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, involves terrorists from Pakistan. A source related to this matter asserted that terrorists started their planning from a camp in Pakistan only.
Know, What Revelation GPS Tracker Has done in context to ‘Uri Attack’…
They Used The GPS System That Works On Radio Wave Signals
According to the source- “This information has emerged out in an investigation through a GPS system that was confiscated from terrorists”. According to a report-“The confiscated Rural e-Tracker revealed that the terrorist reached LOC through Muzaffarabad-Srinagar on 17 September.”
After this terrorist proceeded towards Southern LOC of Chakothi on the night of 17 September. And after that, they continued their journey towards east. There, before attacking Infantry Brigade Headquarters, they rested for a while.
According to the information gathered from GPS, a source revealed that-“They were even successful in entering in interior areas of Kashmir in presence of army. As per GPS data, this system was first turned onn on September 4, 2016, in Lashkar-e-taiba camp in Lipa Gati.” Later, Indian Army crossed this LOC to enforce surgical strike.
Although the confusion still stays clouded as to how the terrorists could have crossed the LOC wires! Army sources believe that they might have used ladder to cross the wires. Also, It has been told that there were 2 GPS systems that work on Radiowave Signals that connect through Satellite Network but in the encounter, one of them got totally destroyed. Last month only, Lashkar-e-taiba took the blame on itself for the attack.
